Encouragement

I have been struggling with some really tough things lately, I've been down and really putting myself in a bad place. My best friend sent me this text last night and I thought maybe some of my audience would love to hear this.

You are something. You have the biggest heart. You care for others, even when they give you a reason not too. You put forth your all, even when you may get
nothing in return. You cross oceans upon oceans for people who wouldnt do the same, but thats a good thing. Shows who you truly are. You gotta breathe and push through it. Life is bad. Life will always be bad, but you gotta make the best of it. You gotta make it mean something in the long run. Stop living for what other want you to do, and do what makes you happy. You cant please everyone, someone will always get mad, but the ones who stick through the really hard times and stay for the even better times, are the only ones that matter. The ones that push you forward to be a better you, those are the ones you really need. Not the negative ones who hold you down. Push towards your ambitions, even when they seem impossible. Nothing is easy. Nothing will ever be easy, and if it is, its not for you. You have to work towards what you want. Set your mind to it. & me, I'll be right here pushing you forward and picking you up when you fall down.

School starting back....

I just thought I would make a school post... considering im starting a new school and im sure everyone else is as nervous as I am too.
To all the kids that start a new school tomorrow... there are going to be many other kids going through the same exact thing as you are. Dont be worried, it may take time but you will find friends. You will learn who you can trust, who you should be friends with and who you will never forget. There may be rough times in the next few days, weeks, months or even years. But, you will not regret doing this. Some of you may not have a choice or some of you have chosen to go to a different school; but in the end it will work out. You will be happy when a few years down the road you're on the couch with your family watching a funny kid movie. You'll realize everything you went through was totally worth it. No matter what you had to endure.
To all the kids going through stuff at school tomorrow... Don't let them take the light from your eyes. You deserve to be happy and you dont have to let them get to you. I, probably more than other people, understand how hard it is to get through a school day. You will want to cry, you will want to leave the second you get there, and you will wish you home in your safe and secure room. But, eventually you have to face the facts that you cant always stay in a comfortable place. By all means, if nothing gets better after a while, get out of the situation. Get help. Talk to people you trust. Find something that will comfort you during the rough times. I used to go all day at school with my headphones in at every chance. Because sometimes it gets too rough to hear the kids talk about you, or have the bad family fight in the back of your mind. Just drown yourself in happiness and something that will always help you get through the day.
To all the kids who are enjoying seeing their friends at school tomorrow.... I hope you have an amazing day! Make new friends, try to include everyone, make someone smile. Love yourself, love everyone else. Be yourself and dont let anyone else make you second guess something you said. Be best friends with your teachers. Be the friend that you would want. Do not wallow in self pity. Tell your parents about how great your day was, how you miss everything that they did for you all summer but how good it feels to be back at school. Most importantly, find your true friends. I cannot stress this enough, there will always be people leaving and coming into your life. More than likely not everyone can be the perfect friend but you will have that one person. Its the circle of life, not everyone can stay. You will never forget the memories of school, they will stay engraved in your brain for a while. The best ones will definitely stay for life. Dont forget to have a great time.

Enemies?

Spoken by the words of our Lord, "You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy. But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:43-44) Jesus tells us to love the ones who hurt us. How in the world would He expect us to love someone we assume to hate? He says, "Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect." (Matthew 5:48)
We are to be Christ like. All we can do is try our hardest to be perfect and just like Christ. But, whenever we arent, ask for forgiveness.  "This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all." (1 John 1:5) Jesus says that we can ask him for forgiveness anytime. That verse is about sin and forgiveness. Forgiveness is a very valuable thing. It isnt very easily given or easy to obtain. It's a very crucial for living; it can release us from sin and can give us hope for the future. Its for forgiveness sake that Jesus was even to come to earth to die for mankind. Whenever Jesus was dying on the cross he asked God to forgive the people who were brutally killing him. "Jesus said, "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) How much love would that take? I find it hard to love or even like someone who starts a rumor about me so how perfect is Jesus to love the people who put a crown of thorns on him. Nailed his hands and feet into wood. Jesus' love for us is so indescribable and everlasting. Evern I, a 17 year old Senior in high school, struggle with loving. But, I always try to remember that because Jesus loves us, we are to love all. No matter how hard it may be. He commands us to love.
