Writing about God at school. Right or Wrong?? RIGHT!

I recently wrote an essay on "What I Believe." I would love to share it with you guys, so here it is!

Have you or one of your family members ever been in a life threatening position? I know personally I have at least a few times. Well, I have a moral that I use to get my through anything. I believe everyone can get through every hard time with God’s help. Everyone has their ups and downs but in the end there is ultimately one person who can get you through anything.

There are many people who have taught me and helped me to believe this. Ever since I was little I went to many churches but there is one church where many people have helped to mold me into the person I am today. I have many memories of different rooms where I learned Bible stories. I believe the Bible is the truth and is written with God’s help. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13 is one of my favorite verses. I came to believe this by learning from people and knowing Christ Jesus died on the cross for all people who believe in him. While living your life to serve him, he can show us miracles that is only possible with him. Ever heard of cancer? I think a few survivors are only living because God wants them to show others it’s possible to get through the hard time in their life. I know of many people who was given a miracle, remission, are mentors to others.

I personally life out this belief by being an Acteens Panelist. This is an honorable position where I get to help plan big Teen Christian events. We also help younger teens to be eager about learning about Christ. There are a few things I normally do when I am in a bad situation or I am just having a hard time. I know I can just pray to God and he hears all prayers. I know he will always provide me with things I need.

This has always been important to me because it is a great way to get through everything. I have overcome many difficult obstacles I have asked Christ to help me with. I am very thankful to have learned this and to believe this for the rest of my life. I believe in Philippians 4:13.

I am very proud of this peace and to share it with a teacher and classmates! It just shows you shouldn't be embarrassed to show that you love Christ!! I hope this persuades you to show your love more at school and not be afraid people might make fun of you!

How you percieve yourself.

I haven't uploaded for a while due to having my gallbladder surgercally removed. I just wanted to talk about a subject that has been on my mind for a while. I will be going back to school this next week and I know many teen girls think about this a lot. HOW YOU look at yourself.

Do you think you are pretty? Well of course you are. God wouldn't purposely make anyone think of themself that way. It is only the devil that makes you think twice about looking bad. You should be joyful of who you are! You should never look down on yourself because it can only push yourself away farther from God.

Here are some tips on how to boost your confidence in yourself.

1.      DRESS FOR SUCCESS: What you wear can have a huge effect on how you think of yourself. If you think you are dressing bad it doesn’t always mean everyone thinks you are. The devil can put things into your mind. If you think you don’t look good, change it. You are the only judge.

2.      TALK WITH FRIENDS: If you are ever thinking that you look bad. Ask your friends. If they are true then they will never lie about how you look. Your friends can always help you have higher self esteem.

3.      SMILE UNTIL IT HURTS: When you smile it helps others to smile too. Your mood can never worsen with a smile. If you subject yourself to sad things then you are just bound to end in a bad place.

4.      CHALLENGE YOURSELF: If you think you need a change, join a new club. Exercise or do something you love. It can never turn bad if you keep up a great mood!

Well there are some things I do to help my mood to be joyful. I hope they can help you and continue to watch for my posts! Thanks.

Friends? Church? Both....?

Teens these days are like the story of the fisherman who walked on water. Once he lost sight of Jesus, he sank. After Peter walked on water and saw strong winds he was afraid, looked away, and started to sink. Jesus said, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” If you trust him with all you have, yes even you can walk on water. I see most teens in my school that claim to be Christians but have almost to no characteristics of how we are supposed to act. “Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 2: 4-5 they sink. Even I have moments when Jesus slips from my mind. Satan tempts us in many ways like wanting to hang out with our friends instead of go to church. I believe you should bring them with you, if they don’t come then you know that their heart isn’t truly with God. Don’t stop trying though, but don’t push them to where they don’t want to be your friend. You will find a happy medium soon enough. Ask for Gods help and he will surely give you the answers.

Sinning over and over again. BAD. :)

Have you guys ever thought of sinning repetitively? I have.. Yes, we all have sinned and fall short of God's glory but when we get cleansed after baptism what happens when we sin again? Well, in the bible it says, “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” In Luke 13:3. Which I translate as, “God says that it’s not good to sin but unless you repent and ask forgiveness you will perish with everyone else.” So, no I don’t think that if you sin repetitively that you will die, unless you don’t repent.. but, I think that if you are a child of God he will analyze what happened if you didn’t repent. God is indescribably forgiving. “The LORD is long suffering and of great mercy, forgiving iniquity and transgression, and by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.”  Numbers 14:18. This means, The LORD is slow to anger and is full of loving and FORGIVING. But, if you are a child of God you will not want to sin repetitively because sooner or later God will be talking to you and saying “No, No, No. This is bad.” He will be in your mind all day saying no! You will soon learn to not do something that makes you feel guilty and after you repent the last time you do that certain thing, God will give you glory and you will feel great! So, coming from a Christian girl like me, ( I hope you read my introduction, if not go ahead! You can learn more about me) I hope that helped you!! Sooner or later you will not feel the need to sin repetitively and feel like you are letting your heavenly father down! Thanks for reading this! Keep posted(:

Introduction.

Well, HI there! My name is Patty. I am a 15 year old faithful christian! I make mistakes like everyone but, i am still a child of God. I was at my grandma's a week ago and a GREAT idea came to mind. To write a blog of my path walking with God and maybe even do some christian book reviews. Oh yeah, I LOVE TO READ!!! Well anyway, I wrote this as an intoduction to say a little about me and how i got to where I am today. I had a pretty rough life from birth to about when I was the age of 6. My parents divorced and my mom re-married and we started going to church regularly and when i was about 8 I got saved! I loved going to church and ALWAYS looked forward to it. When i was about 12 i renewed my salvation at a new church. I was involved in Acteens and Mission Camp. About a year or 2 later I got really serious about my relationship with God and tried to find more ways to grow as a Christian. In the last year or so I got bullied horribly and went through depression and anxiety but, with God I conquered most of it and he is still helping me and holding my hand to get through the hard times in my life. :) I  want to help other christian girls that have questions or just need a friend to talk to. I know how it feels to be alone and I don't want others to feel that way. I will post some study's that helped me understand God's word more. If you have any stories from the Bible that you would like me to post about, you can just email me at pattyfullofchrist@gmail.com Thanks for reading and keep posted!!

ps. I'm kinda new at this! So, if you have any suggestions to help me improve my blog you can email me(: Thanks!!
